Job Description
This farm crew member position is mostly harvesting, but can include other aspects of field work like seeding and transplanting. We grow dozens of different flowers in the field, and a dozen more in the greenhouses. Over the season, we will train you on the harvest stage for each crop as it comes into season.
This position is ideal for someone who loves being outdoors and loves physical activity. It is important to know before you apply that harvesting and field work is not very social— most of the work is done independently.
Mornings begin by washing and filling buckets and communicating about the crop list for the day Then you are off, harvesting an average of 200 stems each hour from the fields and/or hoophouses.

Previous experience working on small farm for one or more seasons
Early morning person with high morning energy
Ability to independently move through a harvest list doing quality control as you harvest, tossing imperfect blooms quickly
Have stamina for repetitive physical activity, such as cutting and stripping 200 stems per hour and carrying full buckets to field edges to be transported to the cooler
