Dahlia You-Pick at Raindance Farm Flowers//Tuesday, September 16th//Fundraiser: Leadership Development for Girls!
You-Pick Event at Raindance Farm Flowers
Enjoy an evening picking flowers at Raindance Farm Flowers in Whitmore Lake in support of leadership development for girls!
Spend an evening in a flower field, wandering through the joyful colors and cutting your own mason jar of blooms to take home. We have 50+ dahlia varieties in full bloom in September, and smaller amounts of other annual flowers. Come for a quiet evening of joyful color and take a moment of respite from the chaos of the world. Or bring your friends, neighbors, and children for some outdoor fun and casual photos.
We provide mason jars or cup-holder sized paper cups (your preference) and loan out our favorite farm snippers. You can wander the field, cut the flowers in colors you love, and stuff the jar with blooms to take home. Feel free to snap photos of yourself and your beloveds (no professional photographers or professional photo sessions, please).
100% of the proceeds from this special you-pick event will go to support Scout Troop 3456. This troop of young women is on the rise! They’re tying knots, starting fires, repairing bicycles, volunteering in the community, planning their own camping trips, taking on leadership roles, and executing great adventures! (And if you know a student aged 11-17 who wants more outdoor adventure in their life, come talk to the troop at the event!)
Ticket Pricing
You-Pick Adults: $25
You-Pick Kids (10 years & younger): $5
What to Expect
+Your ticket includes a mason jar to fill with blooms to take home. We do not count stems. We just want you to enjoy the field and the experience by choosing blooms you love. When you check-in at the Welcome Table, we can loan you snippers and give you a very brief introduction to the field.
+ Snippers. You can bring your own snippers or borrow some from the farm. If you’d like to purchase our professional snippers to take home, they are $25 a pair.
+ More flowers? If you would like to bring home an additional jar of flowers, you can pay $25 on site. We have extra jars available.
+ What to Wear: The farm has clear footpaths, but the ground is uneven. As farmers, we like to keep our feet dry with closed toe shoes and our skin protected from the sun, but we have seen folks come in all sorts of have a great evening.
+While you visit the farm, you’ll enjoy the diversity and beauty of our natural spaces as well as rows of blooms in the field. This is a working farm not normally open to the public, so be on the lookout for irrigation lines, rocks, etc.
You-Pick Address & Facilities
If you have been to Raindance in the past, please note— the you-pick field is at a new address! The address listed in Google Maps is for flower order pickups, but the production field address is not publicly listed, but is sent to ticket holders.
We do have a clean portapotty on-site. But we do not have potable drinking water, a paved parking lot, or any type of shade structure or seating. It is simply a farm field of gorgeous flowers.
Tickets
Each person visiting the farm will need to purchase a ticket on this website in advance. This helps us give everyone the best experience!
You will not receive a ticket by email. We print a list from these online purchases and all you have to do is give us your name at the Welcome Table.
The Fine Print
+ In the event of thunderstorms in the forecast, we will send an email on 9/16/25 with raindate info to the email address used to purchase tickets.
+ Although we love furry friends, to keep our flower fields healthy and our space safe for all guests, we do not allow visiting dogs or other pets on our farm.
+ You-Pick Event tickets are for flower harvesting at the specified day and time. Please do not arrive early as we will not be ready for you. This is a working flower farm. Except for special you-pick events, the farm is closed to the public and does not have infrastructure or staff to support visitors. Thank you for your understanding and support!
